I am Carrie (she/her), your Empowering Educator. I’m an educational, writing, and spiritual thought-partner, offering support to individuals and communities.

I’m a former classroom teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring. I am pursuing my doctorate in Transformative Action in Education and my dissertation considers the use of Tarot cards as a means of mindful self-inquiry to heal from the trauma of educational burnout and white supremacy culture.

I am a NARM® trained trauma-informed professional, a registered yoga teacher (RYT200), and a social-emotional learning (SEL) facilitator through Breathe for Change. I currently work as a professional learning facilitator for a Sacramento-based nonprofit.

I am writing a novel about time travel through eclipses. I’m also a tarot practitioner, rune caster, and improvisor.
